Keynote Speaker Circular Textile Days
At this year’s Circular Textile Days in Den Bosch, Pristean’s founder Julia Planko will deliver the keynote ‘5 Tips to Influence Consumer Behaviour’. Drawing on her expertise in sustainability and circular business models, Julia will share practical strategies to bridge the attitude–behaviour gap in the textile sector -ensuring that circular products are understood, used, and disposed of correctly.
Finalist Haarlem Innovation Award
Pristean was a finalist in the 2024 Haarlem Innovation Award with their idea for circular noise-cancelling panels made from locally collected textile waste. The proposed ‘Haarlemse Daffle Baffle’ would be stylish acoustic panels for cafés and restaurants - designed to improve sound quality while raising awareness about textile waste. Produced in collaboration with local artists and people with support needs, the concept combines social impact, sustainability, and design.

Sustainability Strategy Skincare Brand
Pristean facilitated co-creation sessions to develop the sustainability strategy for Inga Klouth Skincare. The strategy reflects the brand’s commitment to ‘healing through nature’ and includes ambitions on sustainable packaging, packaging return systems, responsible delivery, zero toxicity, low environmental impact, and animal welfare.
Circular Business Model Workshops
Pristean regularly offers workshops to help entrepreneurs transform their business models for the circular economy. For example, during Circular Economy Week, Pristean delivered a workshop organized by Haarlemse Waardemakers, Gemeente Haarlem, and Spaarne Werkt, where entrepreneurs explored practical strategies to make their business models more circular and left with actionable insights to implement in their own companies.

Speaker Engagements
Julia is frequently invited as a guest speaker at sustainability and circular economy events. This photo shows her at Leiden Meets Circulair, a networking event where entrepreneurs, policymakers, researchers, and citizens come together to share solutions and explore how to design, finance, and scale up circular innovations, helping accelerate the transition to a sustainable economy.
